Dealing with all those time-consuming driver and licensing issues can be quite stressful sometimes. That’s why we made this website, to give you a headache free service, when it comes to handling Connecticut DMV issues. Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles provides that information and our job is to gather and organize that info in an easy-to-understand manner.

Making appointments

Here is how and when appointments are made with the DMV offices:

  • The appointment for your driving test will be made at the time you take your written knowledge test.
  • For CDL road test appointment, call the DMV telephone center at (860) 263-5700 (Hartford area or outside CT only), or (800) 842-8222 (for the rest of CT).
  • To get an emissions inspection for your vehicle, make an appointment with a testing center.

Most full-service offices are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Saturday, 8:00 am-12:00 pm, except for legal holidays. State Inspection Stations (testing centers) are available from Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am-1:00 pm. However, make sure you check the operation hours before visiting in person.
